We are currently seeking candidates for the following position based in our Charleston sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing facility:
Environmental Monitoring Technician
Performs environmental monitoring for the facility, and may also perform simple, routine basic interpretation, typically under supervision. This position is also responsible for hazardous waste and sanitation/ cleaning of the Microbiology laboratory.
Key job responsibilities include:
• Sampling of water, compressed gas and the environment to detect microbial, non viable and chemical contamination.
• Performing assigned tasks carefully and on schedule according to standard operating procedure and supervisor instruction.
• Cleaning laboratory as necessary.
• Performing all required glassware and sterilization for the laboratory.
• Ordering laboratory supplies.
• Interpreting simple, routine EM results under supervision.
• Participating in company sponsored training.
• Maintaining productive work ethic.
• Maintaining safe, clean, and organized work environment free from safety hazards.
• Being punctual with low absenteeism and working overtime as needed
Qualifications: HS diploma or equivalentwith 0 – 2+ years experience. Must be able to perform simple mathematical operations and use standard lab equipment including balances and Autoclave. Requires the ability to follow procedures accurately; meet all sterile gowning requirements; and possess good documentation skills. Computer skills required.
