We are currently seeking an Environmental Project Manager to direct and/or personally manage soil and groundwater investigations and remediation-site restoration actions. The selected Project Manager must be capable of evaluating work requirements, making determinations and or recommendations regarding technical approach and project staffing, estimating logistical and field staffing requirements for medium scale projects (up to $1.5M) and requiring above average complexity (integration of multiple technical and scientific skill sets).

The Project Manager will develop work execution plans in accordance with required regulatory guidelines and best management practices. Work plans will incorporate deliberate health and safety considerations involving comprehensive assessment of anticipated and potential project related-work execution hazards. The Project Manager will apply appropriate project controls to track schedule and cost progression and take appropriate corrective actions in the event financial diversion from plan. The Project Manager will join a team which participates in self evaluation and critique with the objective of continuing to improve performance in environmental operations – achieving project completions on time and within budget. Expectations are that the Environmental Project Manager will independently lead small to medium task assignments, and with appropriately designated staff, assume responsibility of larger scale tasks as required.

Responsibilities include: coordinating groundwater and soil investigations at active and inactive facilities; leading pilot tests; and leading/coordinating installation of full scale treatment systems. Leading operations and maintenance planning for various sites, equipment/treatment system end items used in environmental remediation. Accountable for complete equipment inventories assigned to accomplish tasks.   

Requirements:
- Science Degree in an environmental science/geological science or environmental engineering discipline. 
- 6+ years related experience with extensive field work including soil testing, vapor sampling, aquifer testing, maintenance of soil and groundwater treatment systems, compilation of field data, and preparation of work plans, health and safety plans, and technical reports. 
- Must also have 40 hour HAZWOPER training, current refresher classes including HAZWOPER 8-Hour Supervisor training, First Aid/CPR, and working knowledge of environmental regulations including CERCLA, RCRA, and state/local regulatory agency requirements.  
- Must be able to pass requirements of an OSHA screening physical (HAZWOPER.)
- Excellent technical writing skills and ability to effectively express themselves orally in public forums. 
- Must possess good interpersonal skills, maintain professional candor at all times.
- Registration as a Florida, Alabama, Georgia Professional Geologist a plus.
- Proficiency with basic computer programs; MS Word, Excel and MS Project.
