Description
Experience in the environmental consulting field including multi-media sampling collection, knowledge and use of field instruments and GPS. Excellent writing, organizational, and computer skills (Excel and Word) required. Work includes travel and field activities throughout Alaska and the Lower 48. Responsibilities include performing site investigations/assessments, site characterizations, and remediation work primarily for government clients.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Prepare planning documents for site assessments, site characterization, and remediation projects
2. Collect soil, sediment, air, surface water, and groundwater samples
3. Supervise subcontractors, including drillers, excavation services, laboratories, surveyors, etc.
4. Prepare field reports
5. Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders
6. Perform groundwater sampling, slug testing, gauging and product bailing
7. Direct the installation and development of monitoring and remediation wells
8. Record field data, prepare reports, analyze and interpret findings
9. Compile and complete field notes
Education
B.S. degree in Engineering, Geology, Chemistry, Environmental Science or similarly related field.
Experience
Must have at least 4+ years of related experience.
Special Requirements/Certifications

Knowledge of environmental regulations. Excellent written, oral, and computer skills. Ability to gather and analyze data, reason logically and creatively, draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations. Ability to prioritize and organize, work well under stress, meet deadlines. Ability to be flexible and adapt to constant change. Ability to work flexible hours, as required to meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills to assist and communicate with staff. Must have valid U.S. drivers license, a clean driving record, and be willing to travel as needed. Drug/Alcohol screening and a Background check is required.
