Environmental Scientist

Roles:

Assist with environmental studies, including wetland delineation, habitat assessments, preparation of NEPA documentation and permit applications.

Qualifications:

Two to Five years experience conducting environmental analyses for NEPA documents and supporting technical engineering and environmental documents and applications for State (NJDEP/NYSDEC) and Federal permitting.  Experience with transportation and nontransportation infrastructure and development project types (E.G. highways, freight rail, transit, DOD, DOI, energy, land management) and private sector clients/public agencies, is desirable.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office as well as geographic information systems (GIS) and have experience with ESRI GIS software.  Knowledgeable in NEPA regulations and the tenets of other environmental laws, rules, and regulations.  Special skills needed for the position include competent technical writing skills, demonstrated commitment to accuracy and quality, interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, self motivated and energetic.
