Description: 

Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. is recruiting for a Environmental Specialist III in Casper, WY.

Responsibilities under the direction of the ESS&H Supervisor - Ensure that visitors / RMOTC meet environmental regulatory requirements
- Review / update ESS&H SOPs / plans as necessary
- Provide environmental input for upcoming / ongoing projects
- Establish / maintain / promote PP / WM Program
- Review / update Recycling Program, EMS Program, and SPCC Plan
- Evaluate contractor environmental sampling plans
- Write SOWs for environmental projects and take lead
- Lead reclamation / remediation projects as required
- Conduct specific environmental training as required
- Prepare NEPA CX recommendations for projects
- Review / evaluate / prepare NEPA documents as required
- Determine requirements for wetlands, storm water, and cultural resources
- Liaison with environmental regulatory agencies as required
- Prepare environmental permit applications as necessary
- Conduct incident investigations as necessary
- Enforce ESS&H compliance programs as required
- Provide ESS&H assistance to RMOTC personnel as required
- Support ESS&H activities as required
- Other duties as required

Requirements:  Minimum qualifications are as follows :
- Accredited Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or related sciences
- Minimum of 5 years of oilfield experience, involving facilities that include wells, WO / drill rigs, and oilfield production-systems operations
- Other work experience to include 5 years of ESS&H responsibility, such as facility inspections, incident investigations, ESS&H training, sampling, field testing, data acquisition, wildlife assessments, spill cleanup, risk assessment, hazard abatement, etc.
- Certification or advanced training in ESS&H programs such as Registered Environmental Manager, etc.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ESS&H laws, rules, and regulations
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Excellent writing ability, to include accuracy and proper American-English usage (spelling, grammar, punctuation).
