Summary: Excellent opportunity to work and live in one of the country’s most desirable areas. Semiconductor fab in Lee’s Summit, MO is searching for an Epi Equipment Engineer to join their team. Experience on Gemini 2 and CSD Epi Pro 5000 Epi reactors strongly preferred.

Responsible for the improvement of mechanical yields of equipment sets through procedure or tool improvements and technician training, involving the Epi Process area.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for driving equipment performance improvements through a combination of uptime, MTBF, MTTR & OEE.
2. Track and manage installation of equipment.
3. Assist Maintenance Manager in developing and implementing training programs for maintenance technicians.
4. Maintain spare parts and work on reducing the cost of spares through improvement programs and/or price reductions.
5. Write and maintain PM specs.
6. Ensure conformance to spec procedures.
7. Perform equipment maintenance as required.
8. Work with Maintenance staff, management, and equipment suppliers to determine training needs and priorities.
9. Provide equipment utilization reports, analyzing fail codes, and other appropriate criteria to determine cause and plan of action.
10. Establish and drive equipment cost reduction plans.
11. Write PO's for equipment and include appropriate acceptance criteria.
12. Implement and ensure adherence to Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
13. Modify equipment to improve process capabilities as needed.

EDUCATION
MUST HAVE a MINIMUM of BS in Engineering or other technical field
5 years progressive equipment troubleshooting experience in the semi-conductor industry
EXPERIENCE
1. Minimum of 5 years in Semiconductor Equipment Engineering
2. Minimum of 2 years Maintenance experience with Epitaxial deposition equipment, board-level troubleshooting, semiconductor processing
3. Experience on Gemini 2 and CSD Epi Pro 5000 Epi reactors is strongly preferred
4. Experience with Lumonics laserscribers would be an advantage
5. Excellent oral and written communication skills
6. Strong business ethics and desire to develop technical staff
7. Must be able to influence at all levels within the company to bring production staff, engineering and maintenance together to solve problems.
8. Ability to identify key equipment issues, evaluate options and take action
