Our client, a Wisconsin based OEM equipment supplier of paper converting equipment, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, test and commission projects of new equipments that support customer requirements in a variety of conversion industries such as paper, plastics, non-wovens, films, tapes, etc.
Job Responsibilities
· Establish equipment design and construction project goals and objectives
· Provide project management services to insure the timely and cost effective design and construction of equipment that meets and exceeds customer standards
· Define and communicate project personnel roles, responsibilities and resources to accomplish project goals
· Control project costs during project duration and complete corresponding project closeout and evaluation
· Function as a central control point to disseminate project information and control use of resources
· Plan, maintain, and modify the project schedule to insure on-time delivery of design and/ or construction services
· Conduct and document problem solving meetings to effectively deal with issues and move projects forward
· Provide technical guidance to manufacturing, assembly, and technical services functions
· Provide training and development to personnel involved in an supporting a project
Job Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent work experiences
· Demonstrated knowledge of heavy machinery equipment design and manufacture
· 3+ years practical equipment design and applications experience with heavy process machinery
· Working CAD knowledge of 3-D CAD (AutoCAD)
· Knowledge of mechanism and machine design, documentation, project engineering of machines and components, plus sheet metal and machined parts
· Ability to work a project – concept to commissioning
· Strong effective communication skills – written, oral and listening
· Ability to organize and prioritize workloads
· Demonstrated leadership of project team
· A desire to be with a growing company
· Some travel required
