Excel, SQL, Advertising Business Analyst

Job Description:
For this contract position, you will be helping to build the monetization engine for our client's and third-party publishers' online services. The client site, where advertisers manage their search-engine marketing campaigns and where relevant ads are matched to search queries, is the core of the monetization platform. The team works with all groups driving monetization improvements including engineering, customer-service operations, advertising sales, and product management - both platform and publisher. Analysts will be the heart and soul of this team, digging deep into the data in order to drive insights and deeper understanding of the advertising platform.

Core Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develops solutions to resolve the daily analytic needs that help in running the business
  
• Contribute to the analyses related to R&D initiatives
  
• Contribute to the generation of reports and deliver results as needed to help understand and operate the business effectively
  
• Provide insight and support to the different teams to help improve platform health
  
• Prototype analytic improvements/ insightful reports that help the team understand the business and the impact on monetization better
  
• Special projects as assigned

• Minimum of 2 years of business and statistical analysis experience
  
• Excellent Excel and SQL skills
  
• Experience analyzing and manipulating large data sets
  
• Expert project management skills and the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects
  
• Search advertising experience and clear understanding of the economics of search strongly preferred
  
• Ability to engage business partners in a professional manner and support your arguments with deep, structured analysis
  
• Ability to provide analytics leadership to new advertising ventures
  
• Ability to provide meaningful solutions and inspiration beyond the data
  
• Ability to respond quickly and work well in a matrixed organization
  
• Undergraduate degree in Engineering / Economics preferred
