Excellent opportunity as a PBX Operator
Operate communication systems, such as telephone, switchboard, intercom, two way radio, or public address.
Answer incoming calls, greet callers, providing information, transferring calls and/or taking messages.
Route emergency calls appropriately.
Page individuals to inform them of telephone calls, using paging and interoffice communication equipment.
Page Code Calls using the appropriate group page procedures.
Relay and route written and verbal messages.
Place telephone calls or arrange conference calls as instructed.
Perform a wide variety of clerical duties.
Monitor alarm systems and security cameras as required.
Contact security staff member when needed.
keep record of calls placed and charges incurred.
Follow proper log-in procedures.
Contact funeral homes to arrange a morgue pick-up.
Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made.
Communicating effectively.
Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, email, or in person.
Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Always looking for ways to help people.
Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
Must be able to provide high quality customer service.
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, including word processing, and file management.
Prior switchboard and over head paging experience helpful.
Must have strong communication skills and the ability to think fast on ones feet.
Strong attention to detail and strong problem solving skills are a MUST as you are sometimes dealing with life or death situations.
