Exciting Opportunity for Solar Electrical Expert covering Southern NJ!

Our client is a dynamic and fast-growing provider of energy-related services and products. They are looking for an Electrical/Solar expert and Bona Fide Representative for their rapidly growing solar electrical business.  This individual will plan, schedule and supervise the daily activities of the solar and electrical installation efforts; provide input into pricing and services offered; evaluate and develop personnel; perform electrical and solar work as required; ensure customer satisfaction; provide design and project supervision of lighting retrofits. Specifically this includes:

·         Plan and schedule the daily activities of solar, electrical and lighting installations.  Control overtime costs and installation related expenses.

·         Promote and maintain a high level of quality customer service and satisfaction in all areas of operations.

·         Assess the electrical and solar training needs of employees and recommend training programs to develop staff knowledge and efficiency.

·         Evaluate and recommend new parts/tools and specialized parts/tools needed to improve efficiency of the department.

·         Provide input into pricing and services offered.

·         Check jobs prior to installation to ensure adequacy of material and time estimated and efficiency of crews on the job.  Ensure adequate availability of solar and/or electrical materials to efficiently complete scheduled jobs.

·         Assists in the developing, recommending and coordinating of department procedures.

·         Act as the company’s representative for solar, electrical and lighting retrofit initiatives.

·         Follow up on solar, electrical and lighting related customer complaints and resolve problems as required.

·         Investigate accidents involving liability, bodily injury or property and motor vehicle damage caused by employees performing solar, electrical or lighting retrofit work.

·         Make field checks to assigned personnel’s work to ensure quality and professional, consistent workmanship.

·         Recommend and/or implement revenue generating programs and campaigns.

·         Perform duties inherent in all supervisory, professional and administrative positions. Consistent with all positions in this classification, additional projects, task and/or duties beyond what is outlined here may be assigned as required.

PREREQUISITES: 

·         A current New Jersey Electricians license is required. 

·         Possession of a valid New Jersey Drivers License is required.

·         Solar certification a plus

·         Excellent technical knowledge of electrical and solar work is required.

·         Prior supervisory experience, preferably in a union environment, is desirable.

·         Prior experience with the business side of an HVAC, solar or electrical company is desirable.

·         Good communication skills and problem solving skills, along with a focus on satisfying customers, are required.

·         Basic proficiency in using a personal computer is required. 

·         HVAC electrical controls knowledge is a plus
