Overview:
80+ year old company in New Orleans is looking to fill an Executive Assistant position in our company. Candidate will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for the administrative and project support for the CEO. The ideal candidate must be a polished professional, have strong interpersonal skills, and be comfortable working in a highly visible role in our company.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, modify, and produce complex presentations, proposals, reports, and letters for the CEO, as well as for salespeople as needed.
- Research and book both domestic and international travel arrangements.
- Coordinate staff meetings.
- Prepare and organize pre-meeting and post-meeting materials and reports as needed.
- Facilitate conference calls and web-based meetings.
- General office duties, which may include, but are not limited to: faxing, copying, binding, maintaining contact lists, and greeting visitors.
- Assist in the coordination of all company functions (i.e., lunch and learns, holiday parties, trade shows, etc).
Requirements:
- Must have solid experience as an Executive Assistant for Owner/President or other high-level executive.
- Preferred minimum of 7-10 years solid, stable experience.
- Minimum typing speed: 65 words per minute.
- College degree desired, but not required.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Publisher is desirable.
- Position requires exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to represent the CEO in a professional and responsible manner.
- Experience working with confidential and/or sensitive materials.
- Must be self-directed and work to achieve objectives with little oversight.
- Expert in multi-tasking, organizing, and prioritizing is critical.
- Strong detail-orientation.
- Must have authorization to work in the US (no sponsorship), have valid driver’s license, and be able to pass a background check and drug test (no exceptions).

The salary range for this position is between $40,000-$45,000, depending on qualifications. We offer our employees competitive pay, on-going training, and a premier benefits package including medical, dental, 401K, and supplemental benefits. Candidate must have the ability to work Monday-Friday from 8-5 and be flexible for overtime as needed. Full training will be provided.
