Resurrection House, Inc. is a homeless shelter for women and children as well as a transitional housing program for low-income families that have been homeless previously.
The Executive Director shall be responsible for oversight and management of day-to-day program components and direction of Resurrection House’s Emergency and Transitional Housing Programs.
Responsibilities include:
- In conjunction with the Board of Directors, develop, plan and implement goals and direction of Resurrection House.
- Hire, supervise and evaluate staff.
- Participate in development of annual operating budget.
- Attend board meetings and prepare reports to be submitted to board members.
- Identify funding sources and prepare grants and applications for funding as well as oversee implementation of grant requirements.
- Meet with agency accountant regarding financial reporting.
- Oversee purchasing and prepare/oversee preparation of payroll.
- As the social worker for the agency, provide crisis intervention and referrals to mental health agencies.
- Oversee support service staff including Case Manager, Educational Advocate, Homemaker and shelter workers.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of DSS policies and procedures, and make necessary referrals to Child Protective Services and other appropriate agencies.
- Provide on call coverage.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in human services or related field, MSW preferred. Seven plus years experience in related field with some experience in fundraising and managing grants and designated funds preferred.
