Executive Director for a National Hospice Provider!

VistaCare is a dynamic, fast paced company with a progressive vision of greatly improved medical, spiritual and emotional care for terminally ill people eligible for the hospice benefit. We have grown dramatically and are seeking an experienced business professional to lead our NEW program in Waco, Texas.


Position Summary:


The Executive Director is responsible for all aspects of compliance, leadership, growth and profitability


Principal Accountabilities:


Marketing and Business Development


Works with regional and program leadership to develop and implement comprehensive business development plans for the program.


Works closely with program leadership to build contractual relationships with hospitals, long term facilities, physicians and third party payers.


Participates in successful start-ups of new program sites in the area.


Monitors internal marketing and business development processes.


Participates in the recruiting and hiring of all Directors of Professional Relations.


Profitability


Participates in the development of program budget.


Works with site leadership team to achieve budget goals by enhancing revenue and controlling cost.


Identifies methods to continually increase program efficiencies to meet or exceed budget.


Compliance/Quality


Ensures that program is compliant with state and federal regulations and VistaCare policies.


Assures that the program is survey ready.


Leadership


Works closely with site leadership team on the supervision, development and direction of employees in accordance with VistaCare policies, procedures and guidelines.


Measures and evaluates performance of site leadership team.


Monitors and maintains staffing model and employee productivity to ensure compliant, quality care and profitable, growing program.


Minimum Qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree required, Master's degree preferred.


2-5 years of business management experience in a health care setting.


2-5 years of administrative and supervisory experience (one year in a community health environment preferred).


Experience with budgetary responsibilities including budget development and monitoring.


Experienced in overseeing marketing and program development.


Highly organized, able to handle multiple and shifting assignments.


Knowledge of Medicare highly desirable
