Executive Director for a National Hospice Provider

Executive Director


Responsible for the overall operation at the local office. Employment of qualified Hospice personnel and provision of Hospice services. Delegation and coordination of Hospice personnel evaluations. Establish and maintain standards of high quality care and customer service in compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines. Establish implement and evaluate goals and objectives for Hospice services that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and philosophy. Maintain compliance with all legal rules and regulations. Meet growth and development targets and actively establish and maintain market acceptance and allegiance throughout the local service area.


Requirements

Company's Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications:





  • Minimum age requirement of 18.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; or equivalent experience and knowledge required. Masters degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Experience in health care sales and/or management with P&L responsibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel.
  • Demonstrated history of sales and profit growth.
  • Knowledge of business management and a working knowledge of the Medicare Hospice Benefit preferred.
  • Understanding of Hospice care and the services provided to patient/family/caregiver through an interdisciplinary team.
  • Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices and state and local administrative licensure requirements.
  • Physical exam in accordance with state law requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license with maintenance of good driving record and an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or company requirements and is in good working order.
  • Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers.
  • Satisfactory criminal background check.
  • Excellent observation and communication skills.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision.
  • Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations.
  • Must be computer literate.
