About the Job

Overall Objective:

 

Responsible for establishing the vision and leadership for the entire nursing staff and ensuring all Joint Commission standards are met.  Oversees the nursing operation in terms of budget, hiring and training to ensure excellent patient care is delivered.  High performance is essential in improving operational effectiveness and assuring customer satisfaction while managing aggressive geographic growth across the US.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Creates overall strategic direction for the nursing team and provide direct supervision for Regional Director’s of Nursing.
  2. In conjunction with the GM and EVP, develops strategic plan for design and delivery of the nursing operation expansion plan.
  3. Works closely with Pharmacy to ensure all Joint Commission standards are met or exceeded and manage the Joint Commission survey process as necessary.
  4. Maintains operational responsibility for nurse staffing plans to support program delivery, process improvement, customer satisfaction and quality measurement.
  5. Identifies and implements quality improvement initiatives that enhance our ability to serve patients and differentiate Pentec Health against our competitors.
  6. Assures implementation of department priorities to establish and maintain department goals, objectives, and service standards.
  7. Prepares annual budget for capital, manpower, and operations funding.
  8. Assist DoN’s in meeting all state-level requirements for Pentec to operate in a given market.

 

Authority and Accountability:

 

Reports directly to the General Manager and Executive Vice President of Specialty Infusion.

·        Demonstrates experience designing, implementing, and managing remote nursing operations and staff.

·        Analytical ability in order to problem solve, develop goals, objectives, clinical protocols, critical paths, case management practices, and policies and procedures.

·        Ability to think and function at an organizational systems level, and to move beyond the boundaries of the discipline and clinical specialty.

·        Ability to articulate the goals, philosophy and methods of interpersonal nurse services.

 

Education & Work Experience:

 

·        Master's degree in Health Services Administration, Business Administration, Nursing or equivalent knowledge and experience required.

·        10+ years experience in hospital, specialty infusion or home health care operations is required with acute care clinical background preferred.

·        5+ years management and/or leadership experience required.

·        Joint Commission accreditation experience required.

·        Demonstrated leadership and problem solving abilities

·        Intermediate computer skills with programs such as Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
