Expanded Duty Dental Assistants and/or

Certified Dental Assistants are needed with fluent bi-language skills, especially in Spanish and English.  Without these language requirements your application will not be as highly considered but you are still encouraged to apply.   Experienced Dental Personnel know how to overcome language barriers.  Starting pay is $ 12.00 to $ 15.00 per hour depending upon experience.  Our office is totally computerized and paperless.  Our operating system is EagleSoft and our digital radiography is with Schick/Sirona.  Learning our computer system is a matter of pointing and clicking.  We have 5 dental operatories and may expand to 9.  Our chairs are constantly filled with Medicaid children who are 95% of our practice.  We do quality dentistry on a volume level and the pace is quick. If you like working with children, we have plenty of them.  We don’t use amalgam but we do place a lot of plastic fillings (Composite Resins) and we are happy doing this. We fill a lot of teeth.  You will know in the first week if this job is for you.   We have two dentists on staff and only occasionally do we attempt adult endodontics, crowns and bridges.  Experience in this area is a plus but not a job stopper.  Pay raises are once a year based upon the Cost of Living Index that is reported in October.   For full time personnel, earned vacation pay is based upon hours worked, 8 hours of paid vacation for every 208 hours worked, and will begin after completing a 90-day probationary period  Once qualified you can participate in our retirement program that will match your contributions up to 3% of your annual pay.  If you are looking for part time work, we are agreeable and can adjust our schedule to accommodate your hours.  We offer a lot but we do not offer health insurance.  Usual work day is 9-5 Monday through Friday.  No evenings; no Saturdays.  At the end of the 90-day probationary period your pay may be adjusted according to your work contributions or you may be asked to leave.   We are tough on Cross Contamination and if you have bad habits in this area, don’t apply.  If you are a willing student, we will show you the proper way.  We try to treat every patient as if we were the patient sitting in that chair.  We enjoy our work and we are looking for people who will enjoy working with us.
