Special Counsel has teamed up with a local law firm in search for an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team in Richmond, VA. This is a temporary Position.

The candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury law as a litigation legal assistant. Experience in plaintiff personal injury is essential for this position.

The Litigation Legal Assistant responsibilities will vary based upon case load, but will always include regular client communication; organization and analysis of medical records, accident reports, and other relevant documents; utilization of the case management program; and collaboration with internal departments. In addition to experience as a litigation legal assistant, qualified candidates will have a college education, paralegal training or certification, or equivalent experience. Strong knowledge of legal terminology and principles as well as good computer skills are required for this role. Experience with Client Profiles or a similar case management program is a plus.

Successful candidates will be very organized, reliable, and willing to work extended hours if needed. Must be able to prioritize and work to meet deadlines. Experience managing a personal injury caseload of 40 to 50 cases is desired.
