Our client, a leader in forensic analysis and investigation, is currently seeking an expert in Marine Engineering. This is a full time, direct opportunity complete with competitive salary and benefits.

Job Functions:
• Conduct field investigations and perform failure/accident analysis on incidents involving all types of vessels and mechanical equipment
• Conduct vessel accident reconstruction and mechanical/electrical failure analysis
• Provide technical findings and conclusions in laymen’s terms, both verbally and in writing
• Conduct unbiased investigations for various types of clients
• Support conclusions by appropriate testimony in legal proceedings
• Responsible for retention and development of client relations
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
Qualifications:
• Minimum of B.S. in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of ten years of maritime engineering experience
• U.S.C.G Chief Engineer License for Steam, Gas Turbine and Motor Vessels Any Horsepower
• P.E. Registration or ability to obtain
• Must possess strong writing skills
• Failure analysis experience a plus
• Requires 25% travel
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to maneuver in and around vessels and other mechanical equipment
• Ability to lift 40 lbs
• Ability to drive to site locations
