External Wholesaler - Private Placement Agent for Alternative Asset Funds

Benchmark Capital Management, LLC (Grand Rapids, MI), a subsidiary of The Benchmark Companies, a 22 year old alternative asset manager, provides collateralized, high yield alternative assets to accredited investors and institutions to help diversify their investment portfolios into non-correlating and secured placements. BCM has consistently provided it’s investors with outsize returns, even through the tumultuous last few years, not succumbing to the losses of the public markets, but providing its investors double digit returns (audited & verified) every year.  We are seeking qualified individuals who are interested in being part of our marketing team as wholesalers for a private placement fund.


External Wholesaler


The External Wholesaler and/or Private Placement Agent, as an independent sales agent will be responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with broker-dealers, financial advisors, private equity firms and other qualified sources of investment in our Fund and assisting in the process of a 100 million dollar private placement capital raise.


Responsibilities


Establish and manage relationships for the sale or wholesale distribution of investment in a private placement.


Work with retail sources to introduce, educate and inform BD’s and their sales reps about alternative assets and placements in our Fund.


Develop and monitor sales production through those outlets.


Work independently and with limited supervision as an outside sales rep for our alternative assets


 


 


Ideal Candidate


3- 5 years sales experience as an internal or external wholesaler for a hedge fund, REIT, TIC, alternative asset fund, private placement or third party marketer or private placement agent.


Existing contacts with boutique broker-dealers, third party marketers, equity funds, high net worth individuals, or institutions.


Strong organizational skills necessary for tracking and reporting on the promotion of a private placement.


Ability to organize, create and deliver effective sales presentations, power points, lunch and learns, etc.


Series 7 & 63, registration as a Finder, financial advisor or financial planner, investment banker, etc  is helpful.


This position is flexible in terms and compensation; based on the candidate and experience, and ability to succeed in assisting us in our capital raise. Although our investment focus and core asset base is geographically centered in our area, placements (and as such, candidates) are welcome domestic and abroad.
