CMM/FARO-ARM OPERATOR
Candidate must Possess Automotive Quality And/OR Automotive Manufacturing Experience. Successful Candidate will be responsible for working independently at customer locations. Demonstrable Customer Service history is essential.
Candidate will be responsible for operation of the newest edition of the Faro-Arm (The 12' Laser model). This Faro Arm can be used with the Hard Probe only or the Laser Scanner. It will be utilized in the automotive manufacturing process for scanning of soft or hard parts, used stationary on the line, or portable, basic part measurement, checking parts with CAD Surface measurement, and measurement automation. Most work will be undertaken at the OEM or Tier I Supplier Plant. The Faro Arm will be utilized to determine whether automotive parts are in/out of specification. If determined that parts are out of specification, then the Faro-Arm software will generate a report showing exactly what actions are needed to correct the part's non-conformance.
Training on software will be provided, however preference in consideration will be given to the candidate with the most Faro-Arm Experience.
Work History that demonstrates ability to work independently without direct supervision. Excellent Customer Service skills, and references are also essential.
Extensive Knowledge of Automotive Manufacturing Industry is also essential.
Additional Requirements Are:
1. Basic 3D Geometry
2. Understanding of Coordinate Systems
3. Should have understanding of CAD Systems and Software
4. Excellent Computer Skills
5. Knowledge of Quality Engineering, Corrective Action Processes, Along with knowledge of 5-Why and 8D processes is preferred.
6. Experience with containment, quality inspection, rework, body work, and engineering is a plus.
7. Excellent mathematical skills are required to understand software
9. Cad or CMM Experience is a plus but not required if candidate is experienced with operation of Faro-Arm.
