FEA Analysis Engineer

We are currently recruiting for candidates with experience in Fluid and Structural FEA Analysis. 2+ years experience in CFX or equivalent CFD experience, and/or 4+ years experience in structural FEA, preferably using ANSYS Mechanical is required. LS Dyna, Icepak and Hyperworks experience is also highly desired. Knowledge of 3D CAD modeling using Pro/Engineer preferred. BS degree in related engineering field required, advanced degree in FEA and/ or Material engineering related field is highly desirable. Candidate must possess good communication and presentation skills and work well in a group environment.

 

The successful candidate will provide FEA support to R&D engineering, and other groups to develop initial design concepts through proto-typing and production release. This individual will interface directly with R&D, Manufacturing and external vendors to resolve design and fabrication issues.

 

Duties:

·         Perform linear and non-linear structural analysis on precision machine parts, gears, shafts, mechanisms, castings, frames, plastic consumables. 

·         Perform steady state and transient fluid analysis using linear and non-linear materials.

·         Perform fluid-structure interaction (FSI) analysis.

·         Perform impact and contact analysis using linear and non-linear materials.

·         Present results, propose design changes, and communicate recommended solutions to project management teams.

 

Requires a BS ME and 2-4+ years of applicable experience.
