ABOUT THE POSITION

We are searching for an FHA Certified Credit Underwriter that will be responsible for approving / disapproving consumer loans originated with Telhio or through CUSO/Telhio Credit Union Client.  This position is responsible for underwriting FHA Loans and charged with the responsibility of approving consumer loans according to Board approved Credit Union wide lending policies. Ensures that consumer loan products are approved or denied in accordance with established policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• FHA DE Certtiifcation Required.
• A Minimum of 2 Years experience in morgage underwriting experience.                                      
• A minimum of 1-year experience in consumer lending (mortgage, home equity, and automobile).
• Must have a complete familiarity with all loan transactions and State and Federal lending statutes
• Must posses a solid understanding of underwriting criteria used in granting consumer loans.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Must be able to work some weekends and off hours.
• Strong negotiation skills.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately consistent with the noise generally found in an office including those generated by office equipment.
