Large Submersible Pumps Manufacturer is currently looking for an OFF SHORE FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN based in coastal Louisiana or the Houston, TX area. The position would be involved with direct customer support and servicing pumps and water treatment systems focused on off shore refinery market.
The position will be responsible for providing field support for these off shore accounts, consulting services for internal and external customers, and troubleshooting systems. TRAVEL IS 80%+ OFFSHORE WITH FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN GONE FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME. The territory will include coastal Louisiana and the Houston, TX area. This will work in conjunction with an already existing service engineer already based in Southern California. The role will be responsible for start up and commissioning of projects. They will also focus on trouble shooting customer systems and equipment and warranty issues as they arise. The position will also support technical training efforts as well as provide technical support for their authorized service representatives.
We are looking for candidates that meet all of the following criteria:
1) Must have experience with water treatment systems (pumps), flows, and pressures diagnostics
2) Must currently be based in coastal Louisiana or Houston, TX area (no relocations considered)
3) Strong Mechanical Aptitude and diagnostics experience
4) Ability for 80% overnight travel on immediate notice
5) Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
6) In depth knowledge of installation and start up of centrifugal pumps.
7) Knowledge in systems controls
