Polycarbonate Film & Sheet is a growing technology for SABIC Innovative Plastics Specialty Film and Sheet (SF&S) Division. We provide high-performance sheet and film products used in thousands of applications worldwide. SF&S does business with many industries, including automotive, appliances, digital markets and targets many diverse applications including UL and FDA. SF&S seeks to consistently improve its manufacturing capabilities to meet high customer demand and standards. The Film Manufacturing Engineer plays an integral part in the SF&S operations.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities): · Provide technical expertise and leadership in film manufacturing · Provide operational and process leadership for the Film, Coated Film and SLX Film manufacturing operations. · Work closely with the technology, commercial and customer teams to transition development products to six sigma manufacturing capability. · Identify and lead initiatives to improve quality and enhance customer value/product position. · Drive asset utilization and improve overall service performance by leading plant flexibility/capability improvements. · Provide leadership and guidance for area employees including performance feedback and coaching.
Qualifications/Requirements: · BS in Engineering · At least 5 years of film or sheet manufacturing experience, preferably in the plastics industry · Demonstrated ability to meet program and/or operating plan metrics · Extremely strong team leadership and cross-functional communication skills · Excellent analytical skills · Ability to work with high a degree of reliability and self-reliance · Excellent interpersonal skills · Six Sigma MAIC/DFSS trained · Green Belt Certified
