The City’s Finance Director reports directly to the City Manager, while regularly interacting with the Mayor and four Council Members.   The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build consensus across a broad range of constituents.  This position is identified as a critical element of the City’s executive team and an observable record of accomplishment at this level is required.

The Position: Under executive direction, develops and manages the overall financial strategy for the City of Henderson.  The tactical implementation of this strategy will be accomplished through your senior leadership of the City’s Finance Department.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field; and ten years of progressively responsible experience, five years of which were at the management level, or above. Desirable qualifications include Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certification and/or Master’s Degree in closely related field.
