FX Technical Specialist-Programmer

FXCM seeks to build a diverse team of financial professionals from a variety of backgrounds.  We are looking for entry-level candidates that are motivated to provide retail customer support in a team based environment.  FX Technical Specialist-Programmer will have the opportunity to build advanced sales skills in the FX Market as part of the FX Technical Sales Team. 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

·         Design and development of basic custom applications according to client specifications utilizing proprietary FXCM API’s

·         Writing of scripts that automate client trading using Client Side Automation Platforms such as MT4 and TradeStation

·         Service and support of customer installations of custom products by phone, email, forums and chat

·         Liaise with clients about consulting requests, and help them quantify and detail their product requests 

·         Recognize synergies between client needs and products offered by FXCM

Qualifications:

·         Must be eligible to work in the USA (No H1 Visa Sponsorship)

·         Must obtain Series 3 license within 90 days of hire (training provided)

·         Bachelors degree in a relevant major—information systems background preferred

·         Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA; recent grads welcome

·         Basic understanding of financial markets is a big plus—eagerness to learn is vital

·         Working knowledge of C++ and Java

·         Experience programming in C# and .Net

·         Preferred experience in MQL, EasyLanguage, and FIX protocol

·         Able to think quickly, troubleshoot and problem-solve in real-time

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Superior organizational and retention skills, telephone etiquette and listening skills

·         Eagerness to learn new products and technology
