We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record for the position of Facilities Manager.  This person will be responsible for the planning, organization, direction, and supervision of the physical operation of the building, including all maintenance, service, and repairs of the facility and equipment in order to provide a safe, secure and clean environment for students and staff.  This person will also assume responsibility for establishing and maintaining positive vendor relations with both external and internal service providers.

Successful candidates will possess:

1.      High School diploma required.  An Associate’s degree is preferred, and a Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.

2.      A minimum of five years of solid experience in the facilities industry preferably in a post-secondary institution.

3.      Previous supervisory experience is strongly preferred.

4.      Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

5.      Superior organization and analytical skills.

6.      Enthusiasm, passion and initiative.

7.      Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

8.      Superior customer service and problem solving skills.

9.      The ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, exercising sound judgment.  Must excel in a fast paced, high pressure environment.

10.  High comfort level working within a computerized environment.  Knowledge of and ability to effectively use Microsoft Office software.
