Facilities Manager Needed - Excellent Opportunity PURPOSE OF POSITION To lead, manage and coordinate the full scope of operations including manufacturing, planning, continuous improvement, training, and safety in the manufacturing of cranes. To develop and manage the productivity/capacity in a manner conducive to a mutually beneficial relationship between both business partners. To drive cost and improvement objectives in alignment with company objectives. Interact with company and support areas to ensure manufacturing efforts operate within safety, quality, financial and regulatory requirements. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance) Implement the standards contained in the "Code of Business Ethics & Conduct and Defense Industry Initiatives". Insure that all employees reporting to this position are informed about the standards and related policies, and enforce them within this supervised activity. · Maintain manufacturing continuity with regards to application of plant rules and regulations concerning safety, quality, production, maintenance, process and Coordinate production control, manufacturing and maintenance cost improvements. · Continuously monitor activities to meet all production and shipping schedules and improve product cost and quality to maintain competitive position. · Coordinate maintenance and manufacturing efforts with support functions. · Represent management during frequent customer/regulatory audits and manage the planning, implementation and administration of all inquiries. · Ensure personnel are trained and qualified to manufacture product. · Provide oversight, direction and set priorities for daily work flow. · Ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA, local, state, and federal regulations governing hazardous Act as change agent to lead and maintain a continuously improving safe work environment. · Organization culture by directing the design, development, and execution of required training, communication, and implementation of programs (i.e., Human Performance, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Peer Review, Operational Excellence, Employee Development, justify and plan appropriate staffing levels, etc.) resources and lead personnel development activities. · Prepare and successfully implement training and development plans with emphasis on long-term resources. · Provide administrative, technical, management and leadership guidance and direction to subordinate functions to ensure achievement of department, plant, business unit and company objectives. POSITION SPECIFICATIONS · Manufacturing planning and process knowledge · Full understanding of product/project specs and work flow · Bachelor’s Degree preferred however will be substituted for 2 years of applicable experience for each year of post secondary education beyond the minimum of a High School graduate or recognized equivalent. · Ten (10) years relevant manufacturing/crane experience; five (5) years management experience required. Experience with cross-functional teams · Broad understanding of design, transactional, and manufacturing processes. · Fundamental knowledge of business and performance improvement technology and applications. · Business strategic planning, implementation and cost savings. · Strong Communication skills · Experience in detail-oriented, analytical decision making and multi tasking · Strong process, analytical and data manipulation skills; simplify complex situations, identify key issues, problem solve · Strong PC and systems application knowledge (SAP experience preferred) · Technical skills - understand Production processes · Lean manufacturing knowledge preferred. Six Sigma knowledge a plus. · Certification a plus Project Management Certification a plus Substitute: Several years in Crane Supervisory experience.
