Position Purpose

The individual in this position is responsible to manage, lead and oversee maintenance staff to ensure day-to-day responsibilities are completed in a timely and responsive manner.  This person is also responsible for assessing, analyzing and implementing facility efficiencies on a project basis.  In addition, this person is responsible for identifying, hiring and monitoring outside contractors to ensure the corporate facilities, grounds and office interior is efficiently and cost effectively maintained. 

Key Accountabilities

Equipment Maintenance

•         Manage and maintain a preventative maintenance program that optimizes production machinery performance and availability.  Partner with Production to implement technical machine improvement and efficiency gains.

•         Responsible for the repair of production equipment in a timely, efficient manner, minimizing machine down-time; Order and maintain stock supply of equipment parts in an effort to minimize machinery down-time and ensure timely repair, when necessary.  Manage the department budget within established guidelines and objectives.

Facilities Management

•         Responsible for maintaining a preventive maintenance program within the confines of an annual budget.  This includes, but not limited to heating and HVAC system operation and repair, in addition to maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds and equipment.
