About the Job

Do you have a passion with working in the agricultural industry? Looking for an opportunity to manage a fast paced growing business?  You will work collaboratively with the team of employees to provide outstanding customer service and to promote the services to our farmer members.  Facility is made up of bulk feed delivery, crops, fertilizer, crop protectants and farm supplies.  The store volume has approx four million plus in sales with potential for growth. 

 

Requirements

 

·          Agricultural/Agronomic Background preferred

·          Minimum two years retail experience

·          Flexible and Multi-tasker

·          Supervisory experience preferred

·          Strong relationship/sales abilities

·          Honesty and Trustworthy

·          PC Skill Proficiency (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)

·          Effective communication, organizational, multi-tasking and analytical skills

·          Ability to analyze sales and margin data

·          Ability to learn essential job functions to fulfill job scope

·          Team Player, Great Attitude, Customer Oriented and driven to be successful personally and professionally

·          Organize and Attend Grower Meetings

·          Will need to work the hours needed during the busy seasons

·          May require some weekends when needed

·          Valid Drivers License

·          Valid CDL License or ability to acquire within 30 days of hire

·          Able to travel up to 10%

·          Able to lift up to 100 lbs, pass drug screen and background check

 

Responsibilities include but not limited too:

 

·          Work to promote services to our farmer members.

·          Supervise team associates.

·          Assist with Blending of Fertilizer when needed.

·          Drive sales with inside showroom, on the farm sales calls as well as grower meetings.

·          Directs record keeping and inventory control.

·          Performs fill-in jobs for all employees when necessary. 

·          Exercises discretion and independent judgment with reference to ordering qualities and types of merchandise needed.

·          Performs other management or administrative duties as the day-to-day operations require.

·          Advises patrons and other employees with respect to technical commodity needs of particular patrons and handles patrons’ complaints.

·          Makes decisions requiring independent judgment and discretion in respect to credit administration and payment of bills.

·          Develops advertising, merchandising techniques and programs that conform to policy guidelines and budget requirements. 

·          Engages regularly in making sales or taking orders for services during visits to patrons’ farms and in store.
