Faculty Manager - Gainesville

Description:
Kaplan is seeking a Faculty Manager who will be responsible for ensuring academic excellence in the classroom by managing a combination of Academic Specialists, Faculty Trainers, and Faculty Members for the Gainesville area. She/he will recruit, screen, hire, develop and train to ensure a strong bench of Faculty members and Trainers. The manager will be responsible for assigning classes, monitoring faculty, administering payroll, and leading the academic team towards Kaplans goal of an Absolute Commitment to Excellence.

Leadership and Management

  • Recruit, train, manage and coach team to achieve desired outcomes
  • Provide ongoing management, coaching, and development of team
  • Develop an effective leadership team by providing ethical leadership, training, coaching, development and motivation.

Business Development & Strategy


  • Schedule and administer local auditions, select applicants for interview according to national guidelines.
  • Interview and hire all faculty members, fulfill all administrative tasks related to on-boarding new employees.
  • Supervise on-boarding and training of new faculty and monitor all record keeping according to company policy and regulatory standards.
  • Manage the strategic assignment of faculty members to classes and tutoring students.
  • Supervise the development of and provide support for all faculty in accordance to national standards and guidelines. This includes observations, faculty meetings, sharing of student ratings and comments, and other coaching and development activities.
  • In conjunction with Center/Academic Director, perform all performance evaluations for faculty and academic support staff, as well as any promotions or disciplinary actions, including terminations.
  • Assess class inventory and faculty availability on an on-going basis. Create and administer recruitment plans as needed.
  • Monitor the academic budget for the center, as well as class sizes, and materials.
  • Check and approve payroll information for faculty and academic staff as applicable; ensure HR standards are maintained
  • Ensure adherence to program delivery standards for all products.
  • Disseminate information about course updates and national/local initiatives as needed.

Requirements


  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • 3-5+ years experience in management.
  • Ability to work extended hours in order to meet business objectives
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
