Family Foster Care Specialist ( Case Management )

About the Job

 MBCH Children and Family Ministries is the nonprofit, tax-exempt subsidiary of Missouri Baptist Children's Home that provides programs and services for children, youth, adults and families. The current scope of services includes, residential care for children ages 6-18, pregnancy services, transitional living programs for both girls and boys age 16-21, group home living for developmentally disabled adults, family counseling, family preservation services and Family Resource Development services.

Through each of these programs, the goal of MBCH Children and Family Ministries is to meet the changing needs of society's children, youth and families. With service locations in Branson, Bridgeton, Jefferson City, Joplin, Kansas City, Mt.Vernon, Peculiar, Springfield and Southeast Missouri, MBCH Children and Family Ministries is privileged to serve children and their families from across the state.


Family Foster Care Specialist (Case Manager)
Specialists work within the state foster program, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for assigned clients with the ultimate goal of permanency. Primary efforts geared towards the best interest of the client and strengthening the family unit, all with a faith centered focus.

 

Primary responsibilities include:

·         Case Management-clients and parents

·         Court hearings, family support team meetings and other communications

·         Resource identification

·         Permanency planning

·         File administration

 

Requirements: Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Counseling, or Drug/Alcohol Rehab Counseling, and three year’s relevant experience (2 years with Master’s Degree) in protective social services, family preservation or case management.
