Job Description
The Federal Budget consultant will work closely with the engagement team and client in the design and implementation of budget and financial management solutions that focus on the improved analytics, problem solving, and integration of budget monitoring processes within mission areas
.  Responsibilities include analyzing existing processes, tools, and systems to understand improvement opportunities and developing recommendations, processes, and tools to support recommended improvements. 

Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience which should include experience with internal controls and budgeting
- Prior experience in budget execution, formulation, justification, procurement, and a working knowledge of OMB requirements
- Background in federal budgetary accounting and federal financial operations
- Strong analytic skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Bachelors degree in business, accounting, or related field
 Preferred skills:
- Prior consulting experience, preferably in a Big 4 environment.
Other requirements:
DOD Secret Clearance preferred
 
Location: This position is located in the Washington DC metro area and requires candidates to live within a commutable distance
