The Business Risk ("BR") service area is comprised of professionals that possess competency and experience in the areas of risk management, business and operational processes, internal auditing, financial reporting and other internal controls, and regulatory compliance.  Business risk professionals use these skills to assess, analyze, and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of governance, financial and operational control processes,  offer recommendations to improve operations, and assist clients with enterprise risk and compliance activities.

Practice based in Washington D.C. and the surrounding Metropolitan area has opportunities for you to become part of their high-quality team that delivers innovative solutions to key Federal clients in audit and accounting, financial management and business process improvement.
 
Functions of the job:
- Will have the responsibility for quality of Federal Business Risk client deliverables
- Mentor and develop staff and senior associates and managers
- Develop client network, and support efforts in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies.
 
Federal Business Risk Senior Managers must possess the following required qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in Federal accounting, financial management, audit, internal controls and/or budget
- BS/BA  with a preferred concentration in Economics, Finance, or Accounting.  MBA highly preferred.
- High quality verbal and written communication skills are required
- Be a self motivated
individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and briefing skills
- Demonstrated experience with managing day to day aspects of Federal client relationships and projects
- RFP Response management experience
- Project management experience
- Risk identification, assessment, mitigation and monitoring experience
- Demonstrated technical excellence, ability to lead and manage significant client engagements
- Must possess a consultative orientation and ability to deliver a broad range of innovative and value-added services
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 
- Public accounting or audit experience in a professional services firm preferred
- Strong understanding of Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book), OMB Bulletin No. 01-02, Audit Requirements for Federal Financial Statements, GAO Internal Control guidance, Financial Audit Manual and interpretation of agency
financial reporting requirements
- Knowledge of federal agency CFO organization, roles and responsibilities of the Inspector General and the General Accountability Office
- Candidates must be eligible to receive a Federal security clearance. Candidates that already possess an active Federal security clearance highly preferred.      
 
Must be flexible with the travel requirements of client service projects. Candidates must reside in the DC metropolitan area.
