As a Field Applications Engineer at Micron in Houston, Texas, you will serve as primary SSD technical contact for key OEM customers.  You may also provide limited support for other memory products.  In this position, you will track and manage the delivery of validation samples, ongoing validation status through action item reports, and all documentation requirements, including: product specifications, drawings, agency certificates and any special requirements. 

• Managing the weekly conference call with customer validation team in cooperation with Micron factory marketing and engineering. 
• Insuring compliance or agreement between customer & Micron specifications. 
• Generating and maintaining customer configuration, open ECN log, and confirm configuration with factory team. 
• Tracking all items to be completed prior to customer release date.
• Performing first level failure analysis for SSD products. 
• Ensuring that customers are receiving appropriate focus from our key divisions for the development work.

• 5 years (or more) of applications engineering, product engineering or design experience with HDD or SSD storage products. 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• The ability to be self-motivated, take initiative, and work independently or in a team environment. 
• Demonstrated ability to listen, understand and respond professionally to customer questions / issues.
• A thorough knowledge and understanding of electronic products with an aptitude for understanding technical terms, theories and product.
