Field Assurance Engineer
Summary of Position with General Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for performing investigations related to complaints. Addition responsibilities may include complaint trending and data analysis for reporting purposes.
Essential Job Functions
1. Provide engineering support to the Field Assurance department.
2. Conduct complaint investigations. Write, review, and approve complaint investigations.
3. Perform data analysis to determine trends using advanced statistical techniques.
4. Assist in the development/implementation of internal procedures.
5. Participate and provide input to training on department/division procedures and policies.
6. Provide positive example and actively promotes compliance to all standards.
7. Conduct and /or coordinate testing outlined in protocols and test methods.
8. Maintain a professional working relationship with internal/external customers, divisions, and F/A staff.
9. Participate in audits
Basic Qualifications: Advanced problem solving skills
Must be detailed in handling information/data.
Working knowledge of FDA GMP/GLP, Medical Device Directive, and ISO.
Ability to make and present engineering decisions
Strong interpersonal skills
Advanced statistics, including data analysis for trending applications
Software application skills
Ability to create and provide training
Ability to create, review and coordinate test protocols and reports
Specific specialized engineering skills such as:
- Must be able to read engineering prints
- Basic tooling and design
- Material science
- Bioengineering principles
Oral and written presentation skills
In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements
Must read, write and understand English. Must be detailed in handling information/data.
Must have proof of Hep B series, be willing to undergo Hep B series, or sign waiver.
Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge
Prefer two years experience in the medical field or closely related industry.
Education and/or Experience:
minimum of a Bachelors degree in a technical field.

The employee frequently is required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch.
