SUMMARY: Independently manages field engineering projects by developing designing, supporting and maintaining Information Technology solutions for assets valued in access of $2 million dollars. Also assessing prospective sites, designing solutions, developing plans and schedules, obtaining approvals for capital expenditures and supporting remote offices and clinical site locations for all areas of information technology for internal and external customers, service providers, hardware vendors and other companies within the industry. Sets own priorities and manages time and travel, works independently and in conjunction with other internal and external IT resources, supervises vendor technicians and onsite IT-related tasks, troubleshoots problems and develops and implements solutions. Provides proactive recommendations to onsite customers and IT Support management.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Coordinates with Customer's on-site facilities and technical contacts regarding readiness and delivery issues. Liason with OEM vendors and field sales support team members
2. Provides field engineering project status information by collecting and summarizing all project related information
3. Coordinates technical resources to manage resolution of complex issues
4. Collaborates with IT department selection and installation of computing systems.
5. Escalates to Field Services Management on issues that impact the entire patient care (MR/PET/CT/CT operation at a given site.
6. Tests new systems to determine compatibility and operational integrity with existing systems. Collaborates on computer configuration, planning and training of personnel in department automated systems. Supervises installation of new hardware on the network.
7. Continually checks for system viruses; maintains anti-virus utilities software.
8. Develops field engineering projects by studying objectives and requirements; develops estimates and schedules; coordinates all facets of projects including (customer, management, information technology infrastructure functions, Imaging & Oncology Operations).
-One year certificate from college or technical school or equivelant experience.
-3-5 years of relevant experience in IT.
-A+ and MCSE certifications required.
-Frequent travel is required for this position.
