We are seeking a Field Maintenance and Repair Technician to handle all company repairs and maintenance as it relates to our facilities, minor refrigeration, machinery, and equipment.
The Field Maintenance and Repair Technician will:
· Repair or replace defective restaurant equipment
· Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that equipment continues to operate smoothly and efficiently.
· Handle minor refrigeration problems and maintenance.
· Perform routine maintenance on the physical condition of our units in order to maintain and improve that condition.
· Inspect and replace (as needed) thermostats, heating elements, timers etc.
· Perform other maintenance actions following various checklists
· Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision instruments and electrical and electronic devices.
· Assemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumping, machinery and equipment.
· Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogues as necessary.
· Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose equipment malfunctions.
· Should be highly organized as he or she will be expected to maintain good record keeping of all maintenance and repair work performed, receipts, invoices and tools.
· Paint and repair doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall and other parts of building structures as necessary.
· Must have available from 6am to 11pm and open to a flexible work schedule.
· Must travel to various location within New York City.
