Description:
Field Marketing Representatives comprise the core of CCS’ field force. This particular position will be on one of dedicated telecommunication carrier teams. This position’s main responsibilities are to increase sales and brand awareness of the client’s products at retail level within an assigned territory.
The focus for the team will be geared towards promoting the client’s youth-oriented lifestyle image at the retail level.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain consistent and highly visible presence in designated stores within territory
- Travel within an assigned territory to visit retail stores assigned to that territory (approximately 100 stores - with 150 visits per month
- Build relationships with store personnel
- Make contact with as many people within the store as possible
- Distribute sales/marketing literature and collateral
- Maintain a consistent store visit schedule
- Merchandise product and displays
- Ensure that CCS’ client’s products look the best on the shelf
- Product is properly priced and all signage and POP is compliant
- All displays are clean, have a proper appearance, and are compliant with display criteria
- Train retail sales associates
- Deliver training presentations to Retail Salespersons
- Increase brand awareness
- Build brand image
- Increase market share / mind share
- Proactively learn and participate in trainings on CCS client's products
- Participate in all training vehicles sponsored by CCS to learn and stay currently certified on CCS client's products. In addition, it is encouraged to proactively learn about competitive products, market trends, and pertinent technologies
- Gather feedback on CCS client's products and services - Collect and report information on competitive product and service offerings for CCS clients. Identify growth opportunities for CCS client's sales & marketing. Identify competitive strengths and weaknesses.
Required Experience:
- Exceptional relationship building and communication skills
- Strong presentation abilities with experience in delivering training presentations
- Thorough understanding of the youth lifestyle market
- Thorough understanding of retail distribution, merchandising, sales, and marketing
- Excellent writing and verbal skills
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to travel outside territory for 3 National Training Meetings per year
- Ability to work occasional weekends
- Must have Internet and email access
- Must have own insured vehicle in good working condition to travel within territory
Compensation:
This is a temporary position in the Indianapolis area.
