About the Job

What you will do
The Sprinkler Project Manager will support the Sprinkler Operations team. Provides subject matter expertise in areas including project management, setup of local project offices, project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, and facilitation. Maintains control of schedule, cost, safety, quality, and customer expectations/satisfaction at all times. Presents to management and/or customers on project updates, project cycle, and expected results. May manage vendor relationships throughout the installation. Ensures projects are closed on time and in scope. 

How you will do it

  • The responsibilities will include reviewing project specifications, drawings and other related contract documents. 

  • Preparing SOVs, AIA invoicing and manage the FP product Submittal process.

  • Generate and maintain RFI and Change Order Logs. 

  • Prepare permit applications, and meet with client, AHJ representatives as well as customer representatives. 

  • This position will also support the Sprinkler Design team as required. Health and Safety is our number one priority and this position will be required to adhere to all companies’ health and safety policies as well as prepare Site Specific Health and Safety Plans for our field crews'.

  • Develop man loading Charts and manage weekly progress reports for specific projects.

  • Attend coordination and progress meetings. 

  • Perform other job related duties as required.

What we look for

  • Bachelors of Science in engineering or other construction related discipline

  • Minimum 5 years experience working in the Construction related Industry

  • Strong analytical and mathematical aptitude

  • 5-10 years experience working with construction industry contractors

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and associated programs

  • Familiarity with general construction practices and terms

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills 

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Self starter and be able to operate in a team environment

  • Thorough working knowledge of NFPA is a Plus

  • Working knowldegee of Auto CAD is a plus
