Brief Description: Field Sales Account responsibility would focus on growth opportunities across Automotive Sensor Products portfolio at Global Asian OEMs.
Position Responsibilities:
§ Establish strong relationships with existing customer base at all levels, understand their business strategy, how Sensata can participate, and know customer applications and how Sensata product applies.
§ Establish strong relationship with Sensata Japan with respect to North American Asian Accounts.
§ Negotiate pricing and technical specifications
§ Communicate business and technical information between the customer and Sensata
§ Identify decision makers and their influence on awarding business within various disciplines (engineering, purchasing, quality, and manufacturing)
§ Develop strategy at customer for closing business.
§ Understanding competition’s strengths and weaknesses
§ Finding new business opportunities and participating with cross functional team to drive business closure and execution on new program.
§ Understand new opportunities for which Sensata may participate but doesn’t currently have a product (new markets)
Skills and Competencies Required
§ Strong written and verbal communication
§ Excellent negotiating skills
§ Excellent Time Management
§ Understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
§ Self starter
§ Travel time required 30%
Education and Experience Required
§ Bachelors Degree (Math, EE, IE, ME, Business)
§ BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
§ Previous sales experience (3 to 5 years)
§ Fluent in Japanese and English
§ Experience with calling on Asian OEM’s and Key Tier 1’s
