Field Service Engineer II
About the Job
Big-company reach, small-company attitude! AAI Corporation, an operating unit of Textron Systems, is currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer II. This position is 100% deployed.
- Performs engineering, technical analysis and related duties required for the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, and repair of company and customer products and equipment to the customer's satisfaction.
- Performs technical installation, operation, and maintenance, to include hardware/software maintenance support, in accordance with customer specifications.
- Provides on-the-job training and may oversee field service activities of lower level personnel.
- Provides liaison activities with customer and engineering staff, including conducting briefings with customers, vendors, and company representatives.
- Provides general logistics functions.
- Troubleshoots technical problems and issues and determines technical solutions.
- Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications.
- Acts as local on-site representative to customer's organizations.
- Responsible for data management and generation.
- Practices ISO 9001 principles and concepts.
- Performs, verifies, and/or validates inventories.
- Schedules, tracks, and monitors tools and test equipment calibration.
- Performs, tracks, and monitors parts procurement.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills
- High degree of oral and written communications skills and good supervisory skills.
- Good working knowledge of the system, subsystem, or equipment to which assigned.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation; and ability to evaluate, isolate, and repair malfunctions.
- Ability to perform electrical, electronic, and mechanical repairs to complex equipment.
- Ability to evaluate, compare, and make rational judgments.
- Ability to conduct on-the-job training.
- Familiarity with customer expectations, policies, and business practices and high customer satisfaction orientation.
- Ability to work independently or on a team with minimal supervision.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 principles and concepts.
Required Experience
