Job Description
This position is immediate opportunity to work with a Fortune 50 Company as a Field Engineer providing support for equipment used in passenger screening at airports in and around Anchorage, Alaska. Qualified individuals must have experience supporting imaging, x-ray, or CT equipment. This position also requires shift flexibility and overtime.
Primary Responsibilities
· Perform routine service, modifications and preventative maintenance.
· Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties accurately.
· Responds promptly to customer inquiries regarding the performance of deployed equipment.
· Maintains a high technical knowledge level on all products and serves as the champion for a specific product or issue.
· Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electro-mechanical equipment.
· Oversees customer assistance during the entire support procedure until the problem is solved or the case is closed.
· Assesses product/equipment performance.
· Supports key projects with regard to assigned products.
· Keeps current on technical information on equipment and distributes updated information to field employees.
· Establishes and maintains a relationship with customers.
· Position will require travel between locations, and on-call support.
· Shift flexibility is a must.
Job Qualifications
- Requires an AA degree in electronics or formal electronic vocational/military training. BS in Electronics is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years experience as a field service engineer servicing Medical X-ray, CT, MRI or related equipment.
- Must have strong logical troubleshooting skill sets.
- Requires basic mechanical aptitude and must be able to work with hand and power tools.
- Computer experience is required; UNIX is preferable.
- Must have exceptional communication skills written and verbal.
- Good customer skills and the ability to work under pressure are required.
