Field Service Engineer

Job DESCRIPTION

Provide prompt and efficient field service to customers in Alaska on a 24-hour, 7-days per week basis and maintaining excellent customer relationships, with minimal supervision from the Field Service Coordinator. *Supervise the installation and start up of new systems on a turnkey basis. *Submit detailed field reports for all types of service performed. Assist in training all Field Service Trainees in the field and in the office, as requested. Insure all procedures are followed to guarantee complete service. *Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed

Good technical/mechanical skills a must. Strong communications skills also required. *Ability to work autonomously. *Minimum of NICET Level II in Fire Protection Field
Extensive (75%) travel required. *Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
*Requires climbing tall ladders, working in confined spaces, lifting up to 40 pounds, working with class 'C' explosives, and exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, chemicals, etc

High School or AS in electronics or other technical discipline with 3 years of related experience installing, servicing and/or troubleshooting fire protection systems in an industrial and commercial environment
Position is based in Alaska with EFS
