We are looking for a Field Service Technician/Engineer with an Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent training/experience. Controls experience and general HVAC knowledge is a plus. In this role you will provide all levels of technical support for the field commissioning and service of our intelligent air monitoring systems, used to assess and control building ventilation. We are looking for a highly motivated and technically skilled individual who enjoys working with electronic systems involving network technology and instrumentation, is able to manage jobsite activities, and is willing to travel 50%-70% of the time, both nationally and internationally. THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR A RECENT GRAD- WE WILL TRAIN.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Working closely with the factory, performing coordination and execution of the startup
and commissioning portion of the product delivery cycle
* Defining and configuring networked components via our software commissioning tools, correcting wiring mistakes and omissions created during installation
* Troubleshooting and validating the operation of our systems, and coordinating and managing the trades
* As time permits field customer calls received by our Customer Support Center
REQUIREMENTS:
* 0-3 years of field service experience supporting networked electronic systems involving
instrumentation and controls
* An Associates degree in engineering or the sciences, along with basic skills in
troubleshooting analog and digital electronics
*Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport
* Direct experience with RS485 supporting various common network protocols, along with other general exposure to Building Management and other HVAC systems is a plus
* Proven ability to work effectively at customer locations without direct supervision
* Experience working with contractors representing electrical and mechanical trades at job
sites, along with a proven ability to obtain results from these parties
* Experience with Microsoft Office products and Windows NT/XP/2000 environments,
along with other basic computer skills. Experience with TCP/IP and other basic IT
experience is a plus.
* Exposure to sensor technologies commonly used in HVAC systems (temperature, RH,
CO2, CO) is a plus
* Skills with pneumatic or vacuum systems and related devices is a plus.
