Background: The Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Task Force (TF) II is an organization chartered by the Secretary of Defense to oversee the rapid procurement and integration of ISR capability to US Central Command (CENTCOM) and US Special Operations Command (SOCOM). ISR TF II requires Forward Support Representatives (FSR) to track movement, receive, engineer, integrate, evaluate, and trouble-shoot ISR TF capabilities inbound to the CENTCOM theater of operations. Support is required to ensure the proper integration of these ISR systems funded so that they provide immediate impact to combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
FSR's will work in conjunction with CENTCOM staff and US Forces-Afghanistan (USFOR-A) in order to facilitate and track the shipment/deployment, receipt at the final destination, and integration into the operational framework of ISR TF funded assets as swiftly as possible. Locations of deployed FSR teams are envisioned at Kabul, Kandahar, Bagram Airbase with a mobile component that will deploy to other forward sites as mission dictates, and at a to-be-determined "Skunk Works" site. FSRs will integrate with CENTCOM and USFOR-A staffs at varying levels as representatives of the ISR TF.
Responsibilities: Seeking strong leadership skills, overseeing the day-to-day operations of FSRs specializing in communications, architecture, systems engineering, logistics, and processing, exploitation, and dissemination (PED) functions with their regional area of responsibility as directed by Commander USFOR-A and the Country Leader. Regional FSR leads will be established in Kabul, Kandahar, Bagram Airbase, and at a to-be-determined "Skunk Works" site.
You must be pro-active and well-rounded and can excel in fluid, fast-paced, non-standard, and challenging environments. You must be able to digest large amounts of complicated data, maintain detailed situational awareness on multiple projects, and communicate complex information in a prioritized and simplified manner. Experience in joint backgrounds with extensive hands on expertise with ISR collection, processing and exploitation systems across the intelligence, operations, and communications communities.
