This Field Service Specialist position will maintain customer service contracts of Honeywell QCS systems at the customer facility located in Wausau/Mosinee, WI. Primary job responsibilities will include:
- Detailed QCS System knowledge including operation, troubleshooting, calibration, and control tuning and maintenance requirements.
- Routine/Preventive Maintenance: provide development and implementation of a routine/preventive maintenance schedule for each system.
- Maintains QCS system hardware and software backups.
- Trouble Shooting, Diagnosis and Repair: provide on-site support to accomplish quick resolution of system problems and review the status of system projects with the customer on a regular basis, as well as responsibility for day to day diagnostics and system monitoring.
- Perform static and dynamic testing and calibration to ensure customer's sensors are accurate and repeatable.
- Evaluate and modify MD and CD control loops as well as write detailed analysis reports.
- Analyze customer product faults as related to QCS system and make recommendations for improvement.
- Provides project engineering/project management services as needed.
- Customer recommendations: make recommendations concerning equipment and software changes that will provide better performance without changing the size or scope of the system, small expansions that increase system size or scope and perhaps functionality and special application or customer advanced control packages which improve process control or expand system capability.
- Provide after hours coverage and call response
- Act as primary point of communications between the customer and Honeywell. Ensure customer satisfaction and demonstrated value to customer.
- Help expand service opportunities for Honeywell
- Train and provide cross coverage at other customer accounts in the area

Basic Qualification:
- 3-years of complex electronic or mechanical systems maintenance experience
- 3 years experience working in a customer facing role
- 3 years experience working with Windows based applications
Additional Qualifications:
- 3 years of Pulp and Paper experience (Quality Control Systems, Pulp and Paper Process)
- Prior experience or training programming in( VB, C++ and HTML)
- PC Knowledge: good understanding of Windows 2000/XP, Microsoft Excel
- Proven skills in solving complex problems
- Fully capable of utilizing specialty test equipment or software tools to perform diagnostics to interpret results and solve problems.
- Detailed process control knowledge and understanding
- Knowledge of process system hardware maintenance
- Thorough understanding of networking and network installations
- Knowledge of process and control tuning procedures
- Knowledge of Honeywell QCS Systems preferred
- Effective communication and customer focus skills
- Ability to interface with customer at all levels from operators to senior management in a mill/plant environment
