FIELD SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Topcon Medical Systems is a world-leading designer and manufacturer of diagnostic equipment and software for the ophthalmic community. Our imaging, diagnostic, refractive, lens processing and surgical products are preferred by eye professionals throughout the world. We are currently seeking customer-focused candidates who can combine superior communication, interpersonal, organizational, critical thinking and PC skills with knowledge of electronics, hardware/software and networking applications.

In addition to providing you with a strong working knowledge of all Topcon products, we will train you to provide on-site technical and applications support to our customers in selected areas within the U.S. (such as Washington, D.C., Texas and the San Francisco Bay Area). Responsibilities include hardware & software installations and troubleshooting. You’ll also support our sales managers at trade shows and generate reports to keep engineering and sales management apprised of any product/quality issues. Training is provided from our northern NJ headquarters and is expected to last approximately 3-6 months.

To qualify, you’ll need a Bachelor’s degree in electronics, engineering or related discipline along with a willingness to relocate to virtually any city in the United States You must also be willing to travel extensively within your assigned geographic territory and possess a valid driver’s license. The ability to work both independently and within a team environment is essential. Previous experience in customer field support and/or a clinical background are desirable.
