File Prep Specialist - Medicare/Medicaid

Position Description:

DJO has an immediate opening for a File Prep Specialist to cover our Medicare/Medicaid department.

This position is responsible for reviewing all new Medicare files and preparing them for transition to the Medicare Specialist. Obtain accurate demographic and billing information by contacting clinicians and/or patients. Assist the Medicare and Medicaid Specialists in obtaining the documentation required to properly submit Medicare and Medicaid claims.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED:

- High school education
- One year experience in general office administration and two years customer service experience
- Proficient 10-key and typing ability
- Ability to maintain repetitive motion in entry of data throughout 8-hour day with standard breaks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess good organizational and time-management skills along with a strong attention to detail
- Individual must be goal oriented and self-motivated, and able to function well in a team environment
- Must be able to work well under time restrictions

PREFERRED:

- 1-2 year's post-secondary education
- Experience with billing systems & personal computer
