POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Accounting Staff Analysts (Analysts) operate primarily as staff-level consultants with their jobs changing regularly depending on corporate demands. Analysts must be capable of managing a dynamic portfolio of projects with constantly changing priorities. Analysts deal regularly with the development, enhancement, and enforcement of Corporate accounting policies and procedures. Analysts routinely work with specialized accounting areas such as internal control, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, pension and benefits, or treasury operations.
Analysts regularly assist other Departments both within and outside the Finance Organization and can also be called to serve as team members on multi-discipline task forces. In summary, Accounting Staff Analysts provide a significant support role to the Saudi Aramco Controller and the Senior Vice President of Finance.

SELECTION CRITERIA:
Saudi Aramco, the world's leading producer and exporter of crude oil is seeking talented ACCOUNTING STAFF ANALYSTS in the following areas:

Accounting and reporting for joint venture activities
Accounting research and implementation of new IFRS standards
Financial leadership on major project teams
International and hydrocarbon taxation
Performance management
Business process optimization

Requires a minimum of 10 years' experience, a CPA, CMA, Canadian Chartered Accountant or MBA with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. Experience in the energy industry, Big Four public accounting and/or Fortune 500 company are strongly preferred. Other preferred qualifications include oil and gas industry experience and SAP competency.

COMMENTS:
The Accounting Policies & Systems Dept. (AP&SD) provides professional financial consulting and support services to Saudi Aramco and its subsidiaries and joint ventures. The major responsibilities of AP&SD include developing and interpreting accounting policies and procedures, providing controllership advisory services, leading business process optimization efforts, coordinating Finance-related IT projects, supporting all Finance-related systems including, but not limited to, SAP FI/CO, HR, Treasury, IS Oil, Projects, and Materials Management. AP&SD also supports and maintains Finance access to such systems.
